This material protocol explores loose-fitting modular components with mycelium infill, which could allow for structures to be assembled, disassembled, and moved. Though modular parts printed in clay might not lock tightly, they can be filled and sealed using mycelium mortar, which continually expands, slowly growing over the surface of any landscape and evolving over time.

Water
1 cup of distilled water
Ceramic Clay
Varied depending on module size
Flour
1 tbsp of flour
Mycelium
Reishi mycelium inoculum in wood-shavings substrate
method
Measure 1 cup of distilled water.
Mix 1 tbsp of flour into water
Add liquid media into bag of mycelium wood chips
Shake the bag and repeat 2 more times.
Seal the bag and leave the substrate to grow for 4-5 days.
Re-grind the substrate, add more flour, and fill stacked components.
