Calcium Carbonate Cloth

OVERVIEW

CaCO3 Cloth is a porous natural fiber that still maintains its structure. This mixture takes inspiration from the woven formation of a silkworm cocoon, as well as animal builders with calcium carbonate based exoskeletons, such as the sand dollar and sea urchin. The result is a unique bio-cloth – a mixture of crushed sea urchins and alginate applied to wool sheets.
